I’ve always been fascinated by how our mind works.
After working as a remedial massage therapist for a decades, during which I’ve treated over a thousand people and conducted more than 12,000 hands-on sessions, my skills improved over time. However, there were times when soft tissue work alone didn’t reach the expected results. Some people’s bodies recovered faster with a massage treatment. while others didn’t seem to improve after countless treatments with different modalities. Why?
To be honest, this was brewing all in my head as a question without an answer. Have you ever heard of quote
”People often change when their needs change, when they've experienced enough pain to necessitate change, or when they've learned something new.” This was my case as well.
In 2022, I lost a home due to a flood. I was numb, dull and confused. Realising in life anything truely can happen. I always wanted to dive deeper into what hypnotherapy could offer but my own misperception of it have been stopping my own path towards it. (I thought it was too woo-woo and I worried how people will perceive of me.) But the shift gave me a courage to do the study and during the course of learning journey, I was able to finally put an answer to my own question.
Every thought you have triggers a physical reaction and an emotional response. The more you reinforce this connection, stronger it becomes. This is what neuroplasticity is all about. To create a different quality of life, we need to reframe our old beliefs and replace them with new positive pathways. We repeat this process until those pathways are firmly established.
I always strive to understand people’s lifestyles to address a pain they experience. I realised that mental well-being plays a cruicial role in their muscular system and physical health. Hypnotherapy is one of the effective therapy based on science. I am thrilled to share this tool to provide a holistic therapy that truely works for you.
